Completely unsatisfactory

Beyond a joke! For various reasons we would say that we were mis-sold the car. You would not expect that a car that had just been MOT'd would have severe and dangerous overheating problems the very day that you collect it. Our experience with Bristol Motor Co has been exceptionally poor, in fact unbelievably poor. As a customer you don't in a million years think, wahey I have a new car, look forward to collecting it only to find that within an hour there is excessive steam coming from the bonnet and the temperature gauge is at maximum, forcing you to pull over to let the engine cool down. We take it back to garage the next morning, they seem to think it must be a leak so all they do is tighten a few bolts. The second day, still the same. Then it goes back in, after a week they fit a new radiator and thermostat. By this point we were already completely dis-satisfied with the customer care and service. We have only around 3 weeks of the car seemingly working until disaster. When in the fast lane of the motorway the engine completely fails, sudden loss of power and so much smoke that I couldn't see in front of me or behind. I found myself in a very scary and dangerous situation where by I had to cautiously pull across two lanes of heavy traffic to get on the hard shoulder. Completely unsatisfactory, they had failed to rectify the problem and showed no remorse or consideration. The dealership have since neglected any responsibility, we have not experienced any satisfactory customer care or consideration and they still refuse to refund us, in which we are fully entitled. They have said that before it completely failed it would have showed signs of it overheating, meaning they consider that the engine failure is linked to the initial problem. They even threatened to claim against us as drive on damage was caused and also charge us for extra work on the vehicle. In this extreme case they have been utterly unfair and dare I say it very spiteful towards us, the customers. Wouldn't dream of recommending this dealership, unless you like living on the edge and want a car that could explode at any moment. They have shown no consideration and are seemingly completely unaware of the condition of any of their vehicles.

Audi A6

I have been very pleased with my Audi purchased from the garage. Tony was very professional, and I would like to say how friendly everyone at the garage was. I would highly recommend the garage to others.

I would advise other readers to be very wary of doing business with Bristol Motor Comapny. They have not kept their promises to me, have not returned calls and are generally untrustworthy. Be particularly wary of a man named L G.
